There was a knock on the bathroom door this morning at 6:45 as I was doing my hair after my shower, and I opened it to see my sweet boy standing there in basketball shorts, no shirt, and a very tall yellow paper hat that read “Happy Birthday to Easton” that he made himself. He was smiling from ear to ear before I even got out the words “Happy birthday buddy!” If you know this delightful middle son of mine, you know this interaction describes him perfectly. He let me know I could finish my hair before I made him his requested toast and dippy eggs (his words) for breakfast. This kid loves his food. He is my extremely early riser, who is ready to take on the day with a smile as soon as his feet hit the floor. Easton quite literally exudes contagious joy and anyone who has the pleasure of being a recipient of his kindness is better off for it. I am so insanely proud of the sports obsessed, determined, joyous, book worm he is. I can’t believe he is nine already!
Enjoy a photo a month from the last year of his life. We all can’t wait to see what God has in store for him this year.
Happy Birthday to Easton James. He makes our home a brighter place.
Random information:
I did a quick google search for the meaning of the name Easton this week. We intially chose it simply because we liked the name. I found this and to say it felt very fitting would be an understatement. Easton brings the light wherever he goes.
Isn’t it funny how names work out like that? Happy birthday!!
My son is like that too, full of life and passion the moment he wakes up!
